how we came together
We crossed paths working in a busy hospital setting and bonded over our belief that therapy should be collaborative, honest, and responsive — always putting the needs of the patient first. ​Watching families, children, and teens navigate challenges together inspired us to think bigger: how could we bring the same thoughtful, individualized care into the community, outside the hospital walls?

That shared vision led us to come together and create a practice rooted in connection, clarity, and meaningful change. Today, we provide focused, high-quality services in the community, supporting children, teens, adults, couples, and families with the same dedication and care that brought us together.
Why “Akeso”?
The name Akeso carries with it an ancient story. In Greek mythology, Akeso was the goddess of healing, the daughter of Asklepios, the god of medicine. But unlike her sister Panacea—who represented the cure—Akeso embodied the journey.

She was the quiet force walking alongside people in their process of mending, reminding us that true healing is not a single moment, but a path of care, growth, and resilience.

For us, Akeso is a promise. A reminder that healing is possible, not in rushed solutions, but in the meaningful steps that help restore balance, strength, and hope.
